JAIPUR: A 63-year-old man was found murdered in his house near Bhankrota area in Jaipur on Monday. The victim had marks of injury on his head and his body and was possibly murdered on Sunday night.
The victim is identified as Chothmal Bairwa and he was found dead in the morning with sharp injuries on his body. The brother of the victim who owns a vegetable shop in the premises where Bairwa had a grocery shop went to open his shop at 6am in the morning.
“He stated that he was surprised that his brother who usually opens his shop earlier was not around. He claimed that he went inside the house after jumping from the main gate and found his brother’s body covered with a blanket,” said an officer.
Immediately after this the police was informed. A team of senior police officers along with the FSL teams and dog squads rushed to the spot and launched investigation into the matter.
“Bairwa used to live alone in the house and had organised a birthday party for his grandson at his house on Sunday. All the relatives and family members were at Bairwa’s house to celebrate the birthday and left after the party. His brother found his body in the house in the morning. There were injury marks on Bairwa’s body and head,” said a senior police officer.
Police also quizzed the family members of the deceased. “The deceased was running a grocery store. We were probing into different angles into the case. Prima facie it appears to be a murder, still we will wait for the post-mortem to get the exact cause of death,” said an officer.
As trespassing was not found, police has been quizzing the family members to know if any scuffle or spat took place during the birthday celebrations. “It is too early to jump into any conclusion, we are considering various angles,” the officer added.
