Dhanka has approached the chief secretary
Ashok Jain with the request for his transfer from the tribal district of south
Rajasthan fearing for his life.
However, district collector Rajendra Bhutt while taking to TOI on the phone said he was not informed by the official before leaving from the district or of any threat to his life.
He said some youths in the district have been on a protest over the delay in appointment of panchayat sahayaks in the district under
Digvijay Chundawat, a local BJP leader and co-coordinator of Samata Manch which has been agitating for speeding up of the appointments.
The youths have climbed up a water tank to press for their demand. The official was given police protection and he had no field any police complaint, said the collector over the incident. There was also a court case over the mess up of appointment of third grade teachers under the panchayats in the district under his stewardship .
