The preliminary investigation suggested that the peddlers through their retailers used to penetrate the drugs into hookah bars of Jaipur and government shops of bhang along with selling them near the schools.

On Thursday evening, the CID-CB wing raided a house at Rajat Path area in Mansarovar and seized nearly 650 kg of ganja. The value of the drug haul is several crores, according to the police. Two persons who are actually the main drug peddlers were also been arrested in this connection. On Friday, cops busted a gang and have seized nearly 182 kg of ganja from Dholpur near Madhya Pradesh border and have arrested two persons in this connection.
“The primary interrogation suggested that narcotics peddlers arrested in Jaipur used to sell their stuff at various illegally running hookah bars, government shops selling bhang and around the schools with the help of peddlers from the slum,” said Jitendra Gangwani, inspector, special team of CID-CB told TOI.
Police added that many of the government run shops of Bhang were illegally selling Ganja procured from the peddlers. “The arrests in Jaipur and Dholpur are just tip of the iceberg as we are getting deeper into the case and more arrests likely,” said B L Soni, additional director general (ADG) (Crime) supervising the two operations carried out in Jaipur and Dholpur. Senior police officers did not rule out that Jaipur is gradually becoming a hub for the narcotics. “They have got two types of clients. One are the hookah bars and another are small peddlers who used to sell smaller packets around schools, hospitals, auto stand, tempo stand, bus stand, railway stations and other areas,” a senior officer said.
A day after the massive seizure the CID-CB team acting on a tip off intercepted a truck near Dholpur on Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh border. “We arrested two persons who were bringing narcotics from Orrisa,” he said.
