Jaipur: Doctors to form human chain at SMS today

JAIPUR: To express solidary with their colleagues agitating in Kolkata, doctors will form human chain at Sawai Man Singh Medical College in the city on Sunday.
Doctors will gather at around 6am to form the human chain, said Dr Rashim Kataria, secretary, Medical College Teachers Association of Rajasthan (MCTAR).
MCTAR’s secretary Dr Pawan Singhal said they will gather to protest to express their support to the protesting doctors in Kolkata.They claimed that the call of MCTAR to form human chain has also been supported by other doctors’ association including Medical College Teachers Association, All Rajasthan In Service Doctors Association, Indian Medical Association, Jaipur Medical Association, Medical Practitioners Society, Private Hospitals and Nursing Home Society, Jaipur Association of Resident Doctors and UG medical students’ union.
They have circulated the message among their fraternity saying, “All Under graduates, post graduates, Interns, resident doctors, Medical officers, faculty members, consultants, doctors from private sector, corporate hospitals and nursing homes, self-employed too are requested to come together for the formation of human chain at SMS Medical College.”
They have also appealed to the doctors to come with family and friends, bring your water bottles and make it a total nonviolent agitation. They also sent the message that during formation of human chain they have to maintain the cleanliness and they appealed doctors to reach the spot in apron.
