Elderly woman robbed of cash, jewellery

JAIPUR: An elderly woman was robbed of cash and jewellery inside her Sethi Colony-located house in broad daylight on Tuesday.
The Transport Nagar police said that the woman in her FIR alleged that at 2.35pm, she had returned from the market and was locking the door to enter her house when a youth attacked her from behind and put a gun-like object on her back. “The accused took away her gold jewellery and Rs 5,000 and locked the woman inside her house,” an official told TOI.“The woman alleged that she was tortured by the accused for close to 40 minutes. The accused said to have entered her house on pretext of asking for directions,” said the official.
