JAIPUR: City police on Monday arrested a
gang of six with firearms who were allegedly planning a robbery in Jaipur. ‘Jogi Gang’ as the robbers who are from UP, are called by the police were caught with one country made pistol, six cartridges, two knives and other sharp-edged weapons.
The arrested six have been identified as Rajvir Singh(35),
Bhawani Shankar (25), Pintu Solanki (22), Mahesh Pawar (38), Subhash Solanki (22) and Ramesh Singh (45).
“Through sources, we got to know that these six were near the
Gandhinagar railway station, planning a loot. We arrested them and during questioning they confessed to looting a jewellery store as well as a
general store in Bajaj Nagar. Their next target was a petrol pump near Gandhinagar railway station”,said a police official. On Tuesday the six accused will be taken to court.
