JAIPUR: Gaurav Krishna Gupta from Jaipur city bagged 53rd rank in the JEE-Advanced results announced on Friday. Getting into the league of top 100 was a dream come true for Gaurav, who has been preparing for IIT since Class X.
“I feel good securing a good position in IIT entrance exam after all the hard work and dedication I put in. Apart from the coaching classes, I used to study 6-7 hours a day.
Consistency is very important in achieving anything and I made sure to complete my target of the syllabus,” said Gaurav.
A student of Allen Career Institute, Jaipur, he said that since day one, he stopped using social media except WhatsApp to talk to his family and friends. “I would suggest to stay away from social media and just focus on your studies. It will be beneficial to start preparing from Class X. However, along with studies, it is important to take out some time to relax. Go and watch a movie or listen to music. This will help you freshen up and motivate you to study,” said Gaurav with confidence.
Another student from the Pink City, Aryan Jain made it to the top-100 by achieving 76th rank in JEE-Advanced. Dreaming to join IIT-Delhi in future in Computer Science, Aryan said that apart from regular studies and revision of syllabus, he used to solve 20 questions in an hour everyday.
“Practice is very important in these exams and be consistent with your studies. For any exam-related stress or problems, it is better to consult your teachers and parents who can motivate you. Moreover, it is better to have a hobby, like I used to play video games with my friends to relax,” said Aryan.
For the students currently preparing, Aryan advices to just dedicatedly study the syllabus and to be sure what one wants from future. “There are many students who commit suicide due to stress, but always remember that no exam is more important than your life. If you cannot clear, try something else. This is not the end,” said Aryan.
