JAIPUR: The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) on Sunday demolished the buildings, that belonged to the landholders with full consent, which stood on the acquired land for the construction of clover-leaf structures under the Ring Road project. The possession of the land was later handed over to NHAI (National Highways Authority of India).
Under section 44 of the JDA Act, five houses, 12 shops and one boundary wall were demolished on Zone-14 of Tonk Road, which comes under Ajairajpura village, for the dedicated project.
The deputy commissioner of Zone-14 Abu Sufiyan Chauhan, zone tehsildar, enforcement officer, assistant town planner and other officials were also present during the demolition drive carried out by the JDA.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has to construct clover leaves at Ajmer Road, Agra Road and Tonk Road, after the JDA provides land to the agency.
