JODHPUR: Chairman of the
Jodhpur Development Authority (JDA) Mahendra Singh Rathore resigned from his post on Saturday and resumed his duty at the Jai Narayan Vyas University as the professor of business finance and economics.
Terming his two years’ tenure as the chairman of JDA quite successful, Rathore said that when he had assumed charge of JDA, it was reeling under a debt burden to the tune of Rs 650 crores.
“With the help of our different schemes and land transfers to other agencies, we could not only overcome this debt but brought JDA to a level where it has no dues, overdraft or liability and it has Rs 40 crore in its account,” he said.
Reminding
Ashok Gehlot of his statement that he would continue with the schemes of the BJP government, Rathore wished him to not only carry forward the incomplete projects of public interest started by BJP but complete them in desired form.
