Pakistan UAV spotted in Sriganganagar
JAISALMER: Pakistan is continuously sending UAVs over to the Indian side of the border adjoining Sriganganagar district. For the last three weeks UAVs have been entering into Indian territory which are then sent back to their areas by the Indian security forces.
On Friday, Pakistan made air violations and UAV entered into Hindumalkot area in Sriganganagar sector.
The air defence unit of Indian army on seeing the UAV fired at it after which it retreated into Pakistan border.
According to defence sources, at 6am on Friday near the fencing at Q head bop, 5H Bada and Madera BOP adjoining Hindumalkot a Pakistan UAV entered into Indian border and the air defence unit fired at it for some time and pushed it back to Pakistan border. After hearing the firing noises people came out of their houses in the villages. There is an atmosphere of fear at Madera, Koni, Bada Khatalbana, Fatuhi and other border area villages.
Meanwhile, the Indian Army has given a financial assistance of Rs 5,000 each to the owners of the two houses which reported damages on the intervening nights of March 10 and 11.
The Army in its statement said that houses of Hardev Singh, resident of village Kelar Khera in Punjab and Virang Singh of Mirzawal in Sriganganagar were partially damaged when unexploded rounds landed on their houses.
