I won’t contest in Jharkhand polls, says AAP’s Ajoy
JAMSHEDPUR: “I will not contest from Jamshedpur east assembly seat nor from any other seat in Jharkhand,” clarified Ajoy Kumar, who recently joined AAP.
Talking to TOI, Ajoy, the former state Congress president, said: “I will concentrate on Delhi politics now as per the directives of AAP chief and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.”

The former Jamshedpur MP said he may contest in the Delhi assembly polls, which is scheduled next year. He said though decision in this context will be taken later, maybe after poll dates are announced there.
Replying to another question, Ajoy said AAP will concentrate on recapturing Delhi again, so at this moment the party will not field many candidates in Jharkhand assembly polls. He said AAP’s prime target is to win the Delhi polls.
He said once AAP captures Delhi next year, it will try to expand its base in other states.

Meanwhile, there were mixed reactions in the social media after the news spread that Ajoy will contest against Raghubar from Jamshedpur east. While some said if Ajoy contests against Raghubar the fight will be tough for the CM, others said the AAP functionary will be road-rolled by the five-time winner BJP candidate Das.
