JAMSHEDPUR: Coming down heavily on the spurt in the crime graph in Jharkhand in the last five years, state Congress head Rameshwar Oraon said Raghubar Das government has failed to tackle deteriorating law and order after coming to power.
Rameshwar Oaon, who is taking part in the Congress’ Jan Akrosh Rally to highlight the failures of the NDA-led government in state, talking to TOI said: “People of Jharkhand have realized that they made a mistake by voting BJP to power in 2014 and now they don’t want to repeat the mistake in coming polls due at the end of the year.”
Oraon added: “Masses of Jharkhand will show exit door to Das in the coming polls,” adding: “Is baar Raghubar ko Janata karegi tadipaar , 65 paar ka sapna to sapna hi rahega” (voters will not vote for Raghubar and BJP’s dream to score 65+ will remain a dream only).

The former IPS officer, pointing out at the recent killing of BJP functionary and deputy mukhiya Sheetal Munda and his wife Maade Munda in Ada village under Saiko police station in Khunti district on Friday night, said the incident reflects how people are insecure in the state.
Oraon added that if ruling party functionaries are gunned down in such way one can understand how the common man is sacred even in his house.
He said on one hand Raghubar claims that there is no Maoist problem in state and the problem has been tackled with an iron hand after NDA came to power. Oraon added that ground situation is election commission is not confident of holding polls in single phase citing law and order issues in state.

State Congress chief questioned if polls can be held in single phase in Maharashtra and Haryana, then why not in Jharkhand if there is total peace in Jharkhand.
Replying to a query Oraon said allying with like-minded parties will take place before the polls. He said final rounds of talks are taking place at the highest level to draw the blueprint of the alliance.
He refused to disclose the details of the tie up and whether JMM would lead the alliance and Hemant Soren will be the CM face of the alliance.
Meanwhile, the delay in the alliance talks with JMM over seat sharing is creating lot of confusion among ticket aspirants in both the parties. The ground-level workers too are confused as they are feeling direction less, said a Congress worker.
