Chhavi Pandey goes shopping in Kanpur

Shopping was high on her mind when TV actress Chhavi Pandey visited Kanpur and Lucknow sometime back. Be it chikan kurtas from Lucknow, or leather bags and footwear from Kanpur, Chhavi splurged on shopping in the two cities.

Chhavi Pandey, who was in Kanpur for the promotion of her show 'Ladies Special', says she loves coming to UP.“Yahan aake ghar wali feeling aati hai,” said Chhavi, who belongs to Patna. “Maybe it’s the Patna-like feel that makes me feel very comfortable in Lucknow and Kanpur. Yahan aa kar jab main logo se milti hoon tab aisa lagta hai ki main Patna mein apne ghar ke aas-paas rehne waale logon se mil rahi hoon. People in both these cities are very warm and welcoming,” she added.
Ask her what all she bought from Lucknow and Kanpur and Chhavi laughed out loud and said, “Lucknow aana ho aur chikan kurtis aur saris ki shopping na ho aisa toh ho hi nahi sakta. I shopped for a lot of chikan stuff for my father, sister and friends. Actually hua yeh ki by the time I had finished with work, all the markets were closed, but this shopkeeper, whom my team knew, he especially opened his shop for me to buy stuff from. I am so thankful to him for this gesture. And I know for a fact ki aisa sirf Lucknow aur Kanpur mein hi ho sakta hai…kyunki yahan ke log bahut hi supportive hain,” said Chhavi.

Having split from long time boyfriend Pracheen Chauhan, Chhavi says she’s single and wants to focus on her work now. “See, I don’t want to talk about the past but yes presently I want to focus on my work. A lot of times people ask me when am I getting married. I tell them that there is no defined age limit for marriage. Jab 60 saal ke uncle ji shaadi kar sakte hain toh main bhi kar hi lungi. I have seen that it’s the society and relatives who put undue pressure on families for getting their daughters married. Arre beti badi ho gayi hai ab shaadi kardo iski. In such a scenario, many times families end up making wrong decisions. I don’t want to make any wrong decision in my life. I am happy with what I am doing presently. I will also get married when I find a right person for myself,” said Chhavi.
