KANPUR: As the entire country is making concerted efforts to keep Covid-19 at bay, a city-based educationist and chairman of Maharana Pratap Group of Institutions has offered to handover 10,000 rooms of its institutes in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan for isolation of patients.
“We have written to Union health and family welfare minister Dr Harshvardhan and the governments of UP, MP, Rajasthan and Delhi offering that our educational campuses be used as temporary hospitals and our hostels and staff residence as isolation wards,” chairman of Maharana Pratap Group of Institutions Shailendra Bhadauria told TOI on Sunday.

“The campuses have the capacity of isolating 50,000 people. We have already given our medical college and hospital located at Kolar Road in Bhopal to the district administration for a 500-bed isolation ward.
