Girl stabbed for rejecting friendship
A class X girl was stabbed and critically injured allegedly by a man who had been proposing friendship to her. On being rebuked, the man knifed her while she was returning home from school in Amrahat area of Kanpur Dehat. She remains in a critical condition in a hospital in Kanpur.

KANPUR: A class X girl was stabbed and critically injured allegedly by a man who had been proposing friendship to her. On being rebuked, the man knifed her while she was returning home from school in Amrahat area of Kanpur Dehat. She remains in a critical condition in a hospital in Kanpur.
The incident took place on Friday. The girl’s parents lodged an FIR on Saturday.
“Unable to bear rejection, accused Jhallu attacked the girl on Friday with a knife, causing fatal injuries,” circle officer Sikandara Alok Kumar Jaiswal said.The accused is absconding.
A case of attempt to murder and POCSO Act have been registered against the accused.
