Kite leads to snag in Shatabdi Express
The incident took place on the Kanpur-Lucknow route after the train left Kanpur and was heading towards Unnao-Lucknow.
KANPUR: The Lucknow bound New Delhi-Lucknow Swarn Shatabdi Express was halted due to a short circuit when a kite got stuck in the OHE (Over Head Equipment) line on Thursday.
The incident took place on the Kanpur-Lucknow route after the train left Kanpur and was heading towards Unnao-Lucknow. It was coming from Delhi. The train had to be halted on the outer of the Gangaghat railway station in Unnao.

The incident disrupted the movement of other trains also for sometime. Soon, an alert team of railways reached the spot and the snag was repaired and the train resumed the journey.
RPF official DK Sharma told reporters that as soon as the news of snag in the Shatabdi express was received, a staff team was rushed to the spot.
