Scattered rain lashes Kanpur, winds bring temperature down

KANPUR: The weather underwent a change with intermittent showers in the city on Thursday. The sky remained covered with dark clouds.
The city woke up to a cloudy sky. Intermittent showers lashed the city bringing back chill in the air. However, there was sunshine for sometime in afternoon giving some relief to people.
There was an increase of five degrees in the minimum temperature.The day temperature recorded on Thursday was 21.8 degrees while the minimum temperature recorded was 13.2 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday night, the minimum temperature recorded was 7.8 degrees and the night hours were pretty cold.
According to the Met department, cloud cover leads to rise in night temperature. However, there was a fall of over 3.2 degrees in the maximum temperature on Thursday due to rain and cold winds .
Metdeaprtment predicted similar weather conditions on Friday and foggy mornings and evenings in coming days.
