Teacher shot at by two men in Kanpur

KANPUR: A teacher was allegedly shot at and critically injured by two unidentified assailants in Kalyanpur area of Kanpur on Tuesday evening.
Abhishek was injured when two unidentified men, riding a two-wheeler, fired at him while passing by his house located at Gopala Tower in Kalyanpur.
He sustained serious injuries and was immediately rushed to a private hospital, said SSP Anant Deo.
According to the police, Abhishek, a maths teacher, was shot at by two men while he was standing in front of his house at Gopala Tower on late Tuesday evening.
The men came near him suddenly and opened fire at Abhishek and left. “Based on the inputs provided by eyewitnesses, a checking drive is underway to arrest he assailants. We are trying to ascertain the motive behind the attack,” the SSP added.
