KANPUR: A video of policemen dancing on peppy Bhojpuri numbers in Auraiya district has gone viral on social media, prompting police authorities to order a probe into the matter.
The video shows a couple of uniformed policemen dancing next to a UP 100 vehicle.

One of the constables, with a white scarf on his head and revolver tucked to his waist, is seen shaking his legs along with another policeman in the minute-long video.
A few locals residents are seen clapping and laughing. Immediately after the video went viral on Tuesday, Auraiya SP Triveni Singh directed his juniors to identify the personnel seen dancing to raunchy Bhojpuri numbers while on duty.
“We have taken note in connection with the video wherein UP 100 policemen were seen dancing. The circle officer (City) is conducting probe in this regard. It’s a sheer act of indiscipline and is totally unacceptable. After identification, action will be taken against the personnel involved,” said Singh.
UP 100 is the official name of Uttar Pradesh Police Emergency Management System, which was launched by former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on November 20, 2016. It is a centrally managed system based in Lucknow to facilitate quick response in emergency situations such as road accidents or any crime-related incidents.
