4 electrocuted in Kolkata and suburbs

KOLKATA:Four persons, three from Kolkata and one from Sonarpur, died of electrocution since Friday evening.
Raja Mallik (33), a sweeper, died of electrocution in front of his home after he touched a lamppost on Ekbalpur Lane on Saturday. The spot is barely 200 metres from the place where another 24-year-old person died due to electrocution on Friday evening.
A19-year-old domestic help, Ramesh Jadav, working in an apartment at Bidhan Sarani, got electrocuted when he touched a live wire while spreading the wet clothes on the roof.
He was rushed to Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Around 1.30pm on Saturday, a 47-year-old state government employee, Ajay Bera, was electrocuted at his home when he tried to switch on an inverter while standing in ankledeep water on the ground floor of his home at Rabindrapally in Keshtopur.
A 26-year-old youth was electrocuted in a waterlogged street in Sonarpur on Friday evening while trying to save his sister. He was identified as Subhojit Naskar, an employee of an insurance firm.
