KOLKATA: Kolkata:
National Library sanitized after staffer tests +ve is being thoroughly sanitized after an eployee tested Covid positive and was admitted to a hospital on Alipore Road.
“The staffer tested positive around 10 days ago and is currently being treated in hospital. It’s been some time since he came to work. So there’s no need to send everyone else on quarantine. But we are sanitizing the entire
library complex and following all safety protocols,” said K L Kochukoshy, National Library’s officer-on-special duty (OSD).
The library was closed ever since the lockdown started on March 25 and reopened on April 20, with a section of its employees so that the back offices could start functioning in a phased manner, while restrictions were being eased during lockdown.
The order to reopen the library had sent its empolyees in a tizzy, who wrote to the authorities seeking a review.
