KOLKATA: The Tollygunge
police have received a complaint of negligence against a
nursing home in Hazra that alleged the authorities demanded money before beginning 52-year-old Dipak Rajak’s
treatment. This was despite the fact that Rajak had been admitted in the
hospital for eight days and was discharged after doctors assured the family that he had recovered. The hospital denied the incident saying Rajak had been brought dead.
According to sources, Rajak had been admitted on November 9 after he reportedly ingested
poison.
He was released on Saturday morning. Within hours, he was brought back since his condition worsened.
However, Rajak’s family alleged they were told to pay a hefty amount before the treatment. Reportedly, Rajak passed away while the two sides argued. The row increased and cops arrived to pacify them.
