KANNUR: The new secretary of
Anthoor municipality, M Suresan, who visited
Partha Convention Centre of
Parayil Sajan on Thursday, against the backdrop of the controversy over the businessman’s suicide allegedly after being denied building permit, said permission could not be granted to it in the present condition.
“It was found that there are some building rule violations and this has been communicated to the owners and they are convinced about it,” he said.
He said these violations were rectifiable and once it is done permission could be granted.
Sajan was found dead at his house in Kottali in the district on June 1.
Meanwhile, Youth Congress took out a march to Anthoor municipality demanding the resignation of municipal chairperson P K Shyamala.
Meanwhile, the ripples created by a
Facebook post by Anthoor municipality vice-chairman K Shaju on Wednesday night, which said ‘If a mistake is pointed out, it should be corrected, whether it is you or me’, are yet to subside though Shaju claimed that there was nothing unusual about the post.
“I used to upload many quotes by great personalities as my profile picture, and this was also part of that but this was misinterpreted and some reports portrayed it as an indication of some differences with the municipal chairperson, which is absolutely wrong,” he said.
He deleted the image later.
Meanwhile, ‘PJ Army’, the Facebook page of the fans of CPM leader P Jayarajan is getting more active, ignoring the diktat of the party leadership and the request of Jayarajan that it should be wound up and they should not use the coinage ‘PJ’.
