LUCKNOW: SP chief
Akhilesh Yadav slammed the government over law and order situation. Speaking at a gathering in
Saifai on Thursday, Yadav said the government's handling of crime was devoid of sensitivity. The state was under rule of criminals and
Uttar Pradesh has turned into a land of murders and crimes, he added.
BJP rebutted Yadav's claim and said he was attacking Yogi government only because he could not digest his party's loss in 2017 and 2019 elections.
"Criminal elements are scared in Yogi rule," said BJP spokesperson Sameer Singh.
