LUCKNOW; The city is likely to experience another round of
thundershowers on Thursday and Friday, springing hope of pleasant weather over the next few days. The prediction comes at a time when
temperature levels have lately stayed below normal.
A fresh
western disturbance (WD) has arrived in India after travelling all the way from
the Mediterranian Sea. Currently hovering over
Himalayas, the WD has created a cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan.
The two factors may lead to widespread thundershowers in northwest India.
“Many parts of UP including Lucknow are expected to receive
rain and thundershowers, accompanied by gusty winds, on Thursday. The quantum of rain would decline by Friday, but it may still occur at several places in the state. The sky is expected to be clear on Saturday,” said state Met director JP Gupta. Partly cloudy sky kept maximum temperature at 35.3 degrees Celsius, 5.4 degrees below normal. The minimum temperature stood at 26 degrees Celsius, 0.5 units below normal.
