LUCKNOW: It was the desire to make people believe in the power of the Indian judicial system that drew them to the field of law.
City high scorers of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), the results of which were released on Friday, said they were now waiting with bated breath to see if they would get their dream law university. Scoring 165.75 out of 200 in CLAT, Ayushi Upadhyay bagged all India rank 53.

She said she believes in three mantras to score well—consistency, hard work and time management. “My father advocate Surya Prakash Upadhyay is my inspiration but that was not the only reason I opted for this field. Law as a subject interests me more than any other subject as it is very intriguing giving someone complete knowledge about what is happening in the country,” said Ayushi. She said that no other field makes one so well-informed about the nation and its working. “I want to be a civil servant and will prepare for the civil services examination along with my bachelors in law,” she added. Aditya Thakur, who bagged the 71st rank at PG level, said, “My mother Nutan Thakur, an activist, inspired me to pursue the legal field. She was the one who fuelled my interest in the field by guiding me about various laws and the power of the judiciary,” said Aditya.
Other candidates who bagged good ranks were Aniket Chauhan, Rishabh Singh and Somya Khandelwal with all India ranks 65, 92 and 104, respectively.
