Dispersal of Vajpayee's mortal remains: Lucknow schools to remain closed on Thursday

LUCKNOW: The district administration has ordered to close the government and private schools on Thursday in the wake of dispersal of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee' mortal remains. Schools in the city may also close by 11am after observing half-day.
The procession is scheduled to be held from 11am to 3pm.
The procession will commence from airport from where it will reach Jhulelal Park (near Hanuman Setu) via Old Kanpur road from Airport- Transport Nagar metro- Alambag metro- Charbagh- Bansmandi- Maharana Pratap statue- Burlington crossing-Vidhan Sabha- Nagar Nigam office- Novelty cinema- UP Cooprative building on Hazrat ganj- Parivartan chauk- Hanuman Setu- Jhulelal park opp Arts college.

Police officials have claimed over 50000 people are expected to take part in the procession on foot and on vehicles.
Addisional traffic police force has been pressed into services to prevent traffic jams in city road due to the procession.
