LUCKNOW: The city recorded the
coldest day of this winter so far with
mercury dropping below 10 degrees Celsius on Sunday. Similar conditions will prevail on Monday. State Met department has predicted fall in temperatures in the coming days along with possibility of fog in the morning.
The minimum
temperature was 9 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature was 25.8 degrees Celsius. Earlier, coldest days were recorded on November 8 and 25 when minimum temperatures dropped to 10.2 degrees Celsius on both the days.
On Monday, Met officials said, the sky would be clear during the day but light fog would occur in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 26 and nine degrees Celsius, respectively. Temperatures are expected to drop by a couple of degrees towards the weekend. Density of fog may also increase in the coming days.
State Met director JP Gupta said inter this year, he said, would be normal with
foggy days expected from December end till mid-January.
