LUCKNOW: People battled another sultry day on Sunday, with a rise in
humidity level and hot winds sweeping the city.
No relief is in store as the weatherman predicted hot and humid
weather for the next two days.
The maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded to 40.1 and 29.4 degrees Celsius respectively.
The humidity level rose from 62 to 69% as compared to Saturday, giving a tough time to the people.
“Due to southern easterlies, there was an increase in humidity level by around 7% which made Sunday sultry,” said state met department director J P Gupta.
He said there would be no significant change in weather on Monday, with the maximum and the minimum temperatures expected to be 40 and 29 degrees Celsius respectively.
Gupta said rain and thunderstorm are expected at some isolated places over eastern
Uttar Pradesh and weather is likely to remain dry in western parts of the state.
