Online counselling for UG, PG courses in Lucknow varsity

The Lucknow University will conduct online counselling for all its undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the next academic session. It will be an ‘online off-campus’ counselling, in which a candidate will not need to come to the university even for document verification or fee payment as everything will be done with a click of a button.

LUCKNOW: The Lucknow University will conduct online counselling for all its undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the next academic session. It will be an ‘online off-campus’ counselling, in which a candidate will not need to come to the university even for document verification or fee payment as everything will be done with a click of a button.
Over 10,000 candidates, who have to report to LU every year for document verification and fee payment, will complete the admission process in the comfort of their homes.
In a first, LU had gone for online counselling for 10 undergraduate courses for the academic session of 2019-2020. From the next session, counselling of all the 74 courses — 11 UG and 63 PG — offered by LU will be through online mode.
“Almost all UG courses were taken into online mode except BA and BA (Hons) this year. From the next session, all UG and PG courses will be online,” said LU admission coordinator Anil Mishra. He said all candidates will have the ease to lock the seats, gets documents verified and pay the fee online.
Mishra said earlier it was an “online on-campus” counselling system, in which a candidate had to report to the university for document verification and payment of fees.
LU is conducting online counselling for admission to LLB (5 years), BCom (Hons)/ BCom, BCA, BVoc (renewable energy), BSc maths, BSC biology, UG management courses (BBA/MBA 5 years), MEd and MBA this year. LU vice-chancellor S P Singh said, “The online counselling system has not only reduced the time and resources but also candidates and their parents are relived from standing in the scorching sun to get admission.”
