Students duped into 'escort services': Cops still clueless
LUCKNOW: Almost two weeks after four students of a local private engineering college had complained to the local police that they were duped into performing ‘escort services’-like jobs by an online agency which had hired them for home tuition, the police have not been able to trace the miscreants.
Nodal officer of the cyber cell of Lucknow police Abhay Mishra said that "we are working on the case". “No such incident has been reported, which means either the miscreants have got the whiff or after the circulation about it in the media, they have become dormant".

"Efforts are on.
We have cracked down on some call centers and are tracing locations and IDs of phones which were used to contact the students. A trap team has also been employed and we are consulting cyber experts to trace the miscreants,” said Mishra.
"The help of local police has also been sought in the case and we are daily questioning those who were nabbed during raids for offering ‘escort services’ in the past in the city," he added.
