LUCKNOW: Two cases of suicide were reported from Faizabad Road and Cantonment on Friday.
In the first case, 18-year-old Abhay Raghav was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his house in Basant Vihar on Faizabad Road. He lived with his parents and sister.
He left a note on his phone which read: "I am an alien on this planet and now he will be relieved from all the pains (sic)."
Abhay's father Sanjay Singh said that the boy had been suffering from depression for a year and was visiting a counsellor.

He preferred to stay isolated and did not have many friends. Sanjay said Abhay had been showing signs of recovery after he cleared his Class XII examinations. "As he wanted to pursue engineering, we were planning to visit a private engineering college on Friday to discuss the admission process," he added.
Sub-inspector at Kamta outpost Jai Prakash Yadav said the body was sent for postmortem.
In the second case, Kirti Chauhan (18) committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her house in Cantonment. According to police, she had come from Maharashtra to Lucknow on May 24 to visit her sister and brother-in-law, who was an Army officer.
She was awaiting the results of Class X examinations.
Sub-inspector Arun Kumar Mishra said, "Kirti's father said that she was depressed over the past few days as her examinations hadn't gone well."
