LUCKNOW:
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is trying hard to make space for itself in the state, will be starting a Covid helpline across
districts to help patients get medical attention.
The helpline will be launched on Sunday.
Party MP and UP incharge
Sanjay Singh said that he had recently visited Sultanpur to assess medical facilities available there. He said that he had also received reports from various districts on the difficulty being faced by non-Covid patients.
"Despite government's claims, people are not getting proper medical attention in various districts.
Hospitals have made it clear that they would admit patients only after they would clear the Covid test. Many districts still do not have testing facility and patients are refused admission in hospitals on flimsy grounds," he said.
The AAP helpline and help desks will assist people who are in need of medical attention. "But our focus will be on Covid patients," he added.
AAP is also not satisfied with the number of Covid tests being conducted in the state.
