The results had been withheld due to ongoing investigation in paper leak case, which led to the arrest of examination controller in May.
Interestingly, UPPSC had conducted the exam for selection of teachers in junior schools for the first time, and could be the last too.

The recruitment of LT grade teachers was earlier done by directorate of secondary education but was handed to UPPSC in 2017 to curb irregularities following allegations of anomalies.
Officials claimed talks were on to give the task of recruiting LT grade teachers to Uttar Pradesh secondary education service selection board.
"The state government's formal approval is needed," said sources.
Around 4 lakh aspirants had registered for the exam for filling up 10,768 posts of teachers in 15 subjects. The exam was conducted on July 29, 2018 and subject-wise declaration of results was under way when, on May 28, STF arrested UPPSC examination controller Anjulata Katiyar, Kolkata-based printing press owner Kaushik Kumar Kar and eight others on charges of paper leak.

Katiyar is in custody as her bail plea was rejected twice. Officials said the decision to complete the recruitment process, barring two subjects, was taken after considering all legal aspects.
"Candidates had launched protests over delay in result declaration, which was followed by talks with UPPSC chairman. The process of declaration of results was expedited. We have already declared result of eight subjects while that of five would be announced by month-end," said Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission secretary, Jagdish.
"Apart from the ongoing probe, a writ petition is also pending in Allahabad high court. So, I want to convey to candidates that results will be subject to the outcome of the Allahabad high court verdict," Jagdish said.
