Drug peddler held with 300 sedative tablets

Ludhiana rural police on Friday arrested a drug peddler after it recovered 300 tablets of sedatives from his possession near Abbupura village.

LUDHIANA: Ludhiana rural police on Friday arrested a drug peddler after it recovered 300 tablets of sedatives from his possession near Abbupura village.
The accused was identified as about Kashmir Singh (50) of Kholian Wala Pull Malsihan Bajan in Sidhwan Bet area. The accused works as a labourer.
ASI Chinderpal Singh of Giderwindi police post said that a police party was carrying out checking of suspicious persons and vehicles near Abbupura village on Friday evening.
During the the checking, the police stopped Kashmir Singh. Upon frisking, the police recovered 300 tablets of Alprax from his possession, Singh said.
The accused was booked under sections of NDPS act and was arrested.
