Man arrested for friend’s murder
Ludhiana: The Sadar police on Friday arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly killing his friend.
Initially, the accused, Satya Kumar of Dugri, tried to project the death of Ravi Kumar as an accident, however police registered a case under Section 302 (murder) of IPC after getting a statement of another friend and kin of deceased.
Satya and Ravi worked at a private hospital.

Inspector Sukhdev Singh, SHO, Sadar police station, said on March 14 night, the police got information that a bike has met with an accident near Kheri village in which a man was injured.
During investigation, cops found that Satya, Ravi Kumar and another friend Rajinder Singh of Dugri had gone to Dolon Kalan village in a motorcycle. On their way back, the the trio fell down after the bike crashed into a divider at Kheri.
“All three were drunk. When the bike fell off, Ravi started arguing with Satya saying that he had deliberately rammed the bike into the divider. The argument soon turned ugly as Satya hit a brick on his Ravi’s head,” said the inspector.
Ravi was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
