Man arrested with pistol

Ludhiana: The CIA-2 of Ludhiana police commissionerate arrested a 22-year-old man with a country-made pistol and two cartridges on Friday night.
The accused has been identified as Vijay Kumar of Manmohan Colony of Bahadurke. He was arrested from a checkpost established on Tibba road when he was crossing by the area on a motorcycle.
Inspector Praveen Randev, in-charge, CIA-2, said on seeing the cops, Vijay tried to escape, but the police nabbed him.During search, the police recovered .315 bore pistol and 2 cartridges from him.
During questioning, the accused told police that he had bought the pistol from a man in Rajpura. The police have launched a manhunt for the arrest of the arm supplier. The accused has also confessed that he wanted to further sell the weapon.
