Maur blast: 3 accused to be declared proclaimed offenders

BATHINDA : A court at Talwandi Sabo adjourned the case to October 19 to declare three accused in the Maur bomb blast case as proclaimed offenders (POs) after recording the statement of a sub-inspector on Monday.
The special investigation team (SIT), probing the case, had on August 24 approached the court to initiate the proceedings to declare Gurtej Singh alias Kala of Alike village near Dabwali in Sirsa district of Haryana, Amrik Singh of Bhikhi in Mansa and Avtar Singh of Messi Majra village near Kurukshetra in Haryana as POs.

Talwandi Sabo judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) Amandeep Singh had fixed September 24, for the accused to join investigations or they would be declared POs. The court had allowed the SIT to put up posters at the residences of the accused.
On Monday, the court recorded the statement of sub-inspector Harbans Singh of Maur police, who had put the posters at the residences of three accused, and adjourned the case to October 19. The three accused did not reach the court.
