Nat’l clinical medicine body’s Punjab chapter launched in city
Ludhiana: The Punjab chapter of Indian Association of Clinical Medicine (IACM) was launched in the city on Thursday.
A day-long conference was held to mark the launch, wherein speakers of national and international fame delved on various clinical topics. As many as 350 doctors from various parts of Punjab attended the conference.
The speakers included Y K Chawla, former director, PGI Chandigarh); Dr Vyanktesh Pai from AIIMS, Rishikesh; Dr MPS Chawla from Delhi, Dr Dipanjan from Siliguri; Dr A K Gupta from Agra, Dr Rajesh Rajput from Rohtak, Dr Parampreet Singh, Dr Ashish Bhalla, Dr Jitu Bhaishya, Dr Nusrat Shafiq and Dr Kirti Gupta from PGI, Chandigarh.
Thirteen free papers were presented and Dr Divya from CMC Ludhiana won the first prize. The conference will now be an annual feature.
This chapter was inaugurated by IACM national president Dr Dipanjan from West Bengal and founder general secretary and past IACM president Dr MM Singh from Agra. IACM is a 27-year-old body of physicians from different parts of India.
