Tamil Nadu CM launches distribution of free laddus at Madurai Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple

Tamil Nadu chief minister Edapaddi K Palaniswami on Friday launched distribution of free laddus to devotees at the Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in Madurai. The CM launched it through video conferencing from Chennai.

cHENNAIMADURAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister Edapaddi K Palaniswami on Friday launched distribution of free laddus to devotees at the Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple in Madurai. The CM launched it through video conferencing from Chennai.
The temple will distribute 20,000 laddus to devotees daily.
The laddus are being made in the temple kitchen (madapalli), and 15 workers are preparing them under hygienic conditions.

Gram flour, ghee, sugar, spices, cashew and raisins are being used to make the laddus. Each laddu weighs around 30 gram.
