Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has ordered the release of water from the Manimuthar dam in Tirunelveli district for 140 days for irrigation.
MADURAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has ordered the release of water from the Manimuthar dam in Tirunelveli district for 140 days for irrigation.
According to a press release issued on Tuesday, the chief minister has said that water will be released for a period of 140 days from November 13 this year to March 31, 2020, based on the storage in the reservoir .
As much as 2756.62 acres of land in Ambasamudram block in the district will benefit from it.
