MUMBAI: Four days after the body of a Covid-19 patient went missing from KEM Hospital, Parel, the corpse of the 70-year-old man was traced and handed over to his family.
Hospital authorities and the police traced it after scouting for it over two days, said a police official. The police summoned the relatives of the deceased who identified the body. As more than 36 hours had lapsed, the hospital urged the family to cremate the body urgently.
The cremation was done on Tuesday afternoon.
BJP leader Kirit Somaiya had taken up the matter and tweeted about the goof-up on the part of the civic-run hospital.
