MUMBAI: Winter seems to be round the corner as the city witnessed a nearly 3 degrees dip in maximum temperature, to 32.8 Celsius from 35.6 Celsius recorded a day ago.
KS Hosalikar, deputy director general of meteorology at the Regional Meteorological Centre in Mumbai, said the reason for the dip in maximum temperature was the early setting in of
sea breeze. "It is expected to remain in this range for the next two days," he said.
Mumbaikars said they already feel a slight chill in the air, especially in the morning. "Since the past few days, mornings have been very pleasant. This is a welcome change from the last month's scorching heat," said Mansi Shah, Ghatkopar resident.
