Navi Mumbai containment zones shrink after revised guidelines

NAVI MUMBAI: NMMC commissioner Annasaheb Misal has issued revised guidelines to define Covid-19 containment zones under the civic body's limits.
According to the fresh guidelines, the civic body now has 30 containment zones.
According to the new guidelines an area requires at least five coronavirus positive cases to be included in the containment zone list.Earlier one Covid-19 case was enough for an area of 100 metre to be marked as a containment zone.
In the fresh instructions, a zone may be contained beyond 100 meter depending upon the topography and description of the locality.
