PATNA: Police on Sunday recovered two decomposed bodies, including that of a woman, from the Punpun river near Garhichak village under the Fatuha police station area in rural Patna.
Earlier on Friday, police had recovered three severed human heads from Patna-Bakhtiyarpur national highway in the Fatuha police station area of rural Patna.
SP (rural) Katesh Kumar Mishra said bodies recovered on Sunday were sent for post mortem to Nalanda Medical College and Hospital here.

“These bodies have nothing to with the three heads recovered on Friday,” the SP said, adding the bodies were at least ten-day-old.
Mishra said a long piece of cloth resembling sari was wrapped on the body of the woman victim.
“Since the bodies were decomposed, it could not be ascertained whether they bore injury marks or not,” he said, adding the police were awaiting post mortem report.
SHO of Fatuha police station Manish Kumar said the bodies were partially eaten up by river creatures. “The neighbouring police stations have been alerted. Femurs of the bodies will be preserved for DNA test,” he said.
He added that the bodies would be preserved for 72 hours at morgue for any claimant after which they will be disposed of according to rules.
On recovery of severed heads, Kumar said all the three heads are with the anatomy department of NMCH for establishing age of the victims.
