PATNA:
Former state health minister Tej Pratap Yadav has threatened to thrash deputy CM
Sushil Kumar Modi inside his house and disrupt the marriage of his son to be held in Patna on December 3.
The RJD president’s son Tej Pratap’s threat became public after a video clip went viral on Wednesday.
RJD sources said Tej gave the offending speech in
Aurangabad, 130km from the state capital, on November 19 at a programme of the party’s student wing.
“Sushil Modi recently called to invite us to his son Utkarsh’s marriage. I think he is trying to humiliate us by extending the invitation. He remains our enemy. If I go, I will hold a meeting at the marriage venue and expose him. I will disrupt the function and beat up Modi after entering his house,” Tej said.
Reacting to the threat, Modi told TOI he sent the invite to leaders of all political parties, including RJD. “I don’t understand why is Tej attributing politics to it,” he said.
Modi said Lalu should ask his son why he wanted to disturb the marriage ceremony. “I had gracefully attended the wedding of Lalu-ji’s daughters,” he recalled.
