BJP man offers Rs 1 crore for slapping Tej Pratap
PATNA: Former state health minister Tej Pratap Yadav on Thursday drew flak from the ruling NDA for his statement that he would thrash deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi and vandalise his son’s wedding on December 3.
The BJP’s Patna unit burned the effigies of Tej Pratap and his father and RJD president Lalu Prasad at Kargil Chowk. The party’s Patna unit media-in-charge Anil Sahni, on the other hand, announced a reward of Rs 1 crore for slapping Tej.
JD (U)’s Bihar unit chief spokesperson Sanjay Singh said Tej was emulating his father.
“Let Tej show he has the guts and enter SuMo’s house... It is not that Tej has blood running in his veins and others have water,” Sanjay said.
JD (U)’s another spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said Lalu’s son should relaise it was not 1990s. “The rule of law prevails in Bihar now. Nonetheless, we accept your challenge and invite you to the wedding to see what you can do. When veterans like Mohd Shahabuddin and Anant Singh have fallen in line, who are you?” asked Neeraj.
BJP’s national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said Lalu should take cognizance of his son’s statement. “Lalu’s wife gave an offensive statement about PM Narendra Modi and now his son Tej Pratap has made such a statement against SuMo. Lalu should take note of such behaviour of his family members,” he said and added stooping so low due to political rivalry was highly condemnable.
Addressing the RJD’s national council meet in Patna on Tuesday, Rabri had said there were people ready to chop off the PM’s hands. This was a day after BJP’s state unit chief and Ujiarpur MP Nityanand Rai said if anyone raised an accusing finger at the PM, the party supporters should break their limbs.
