Patna girl Priyanka Kumari, fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2nd runner-up 2017, couldn’t contain her excitement when it was time for the final announcement of the Miss World 2017 pageant. She was watching the show live at a mall in Delhi. And when Manushi Chhillar made it to the top five, Priyanka was sure that she would clinch the Miss World title. She said, “I wasn’t surprised a bit when she was crowned.
Manushi nailed it with her winning reply that a mother deserves the highest salary. She made our country proud after 17 years at the Miss World contest. It is no mean feat.”
Priyanka believes that Manushi is a very talented girl. She said, “Throughout the Miss India pageant, Manushi was very focused and determined. She had kept so many paper cuttings relating to her schedules and the pageant on the walls of her room. She is also very good at personal interviews. She doesn’t need to think much before answering.”
Recalling the moments she shared with Manushi when they were contesting for Miss India pageant, Priyanka said, “We were together for 30 days when the Miss India training was going on. We made so many good memories. I shared a flat with Sana Dua and Manushi after the pageant,” she added.
Priyanka just can’t wait to meet Manushi in person. She said, “She will be in India probably in a week. Once she arrives, I will see her and congratulate her personally for bringing the crown to our country.” Speaking about her future plans, Priyanka said, “I am now focusing on Miss Intercontinental pageant, which is supposed to be held in January. I shall give my best. And I want to visit Patna again once I am comparatively free.”
