Patna: No headway in jewellery showroom loot case

Police have so far not been able to arrest anyone in connection with the loot of jewellery worth around Rs 15 lakh from a showroom in Rupaspur locality of the city in broad daylight on June 12.

PATNA: Police have so far not been able to arrest anyone in connection with the loot of jewellery worth around Rs 15 lakh from a showroom in Rupaspur locality of the city in broad daylight on June 12.
Incidentally, ADG (headquarters) Kundan Krishnan had visited Rupaspur police station to review law and order just a few hours before the loot.
Four armed criminals had decamped after looting all the jewellery kept in the showcases.
The criminals were wearing masks to hide their identity.
DIG (central range) Rajesh Kumar, said police have identified the criminals and raids were on in Patna and neighbouring districts to arrest them. “The gang members operate from western Patna.
SHO of Rupaspur police station Chandra Bhanu said the criminals had not opened fire in course of the loot.
