Patna: One arrested in student stabbing case

Police arrested a man from Kumrahar on Tuesday in connection with killing of a Class XI student Aman Raj who was stabbed multiple times at Ramashray Park under Kankarbagh police station area in Patna on Monday evening.

PATNA: Police arrested a man from Kumrahar on Tuesday in connection with killing of a Class XI student Aman Raj who was stabbed multiple times at Ramashray Park under Kankarbagh police station area in Patna on Monday evening.
Raj had later died during treatment at Patna Medical College and Hospital during treatment.
City SP (East) Rajendra Kumar Bheel said that Abhishek Kumar (the arrested person) had an affair with a girl who was sister of Raj’s friend.
He said Raj and his friend had warned the girl many times for not meeting Abhishek.
The SP said that out of rage, Abhishek along with his two to three associates surrounded Raj near the park and stabbed him several times.
Bheel said that Raj had spotted the girl at the park after which he had asked the girl to leave which infuriated Abhishek who was also there.
"Abhishek and Raj used to study in a coaching centre at Malahi Pakri but the arrested youth had left it few week back," Bheel said.
An FIR in connection with the incident was lodged with Kankarbagh police station area on Monday night.
Fire inside PNB: Two separate incidents of fire were reported in the city on Tuesday morning. In one incident, fire took place inside the Punjab National Bank located in Chanakya towers at R-block roundabout.

Police said that documents, computers and few other items were torched in fire which perhaps broke out due to electrical short circuit. Police said that two big fire tenders from Lodipur fire station, two each from Sachivalaya and Kankarbagh along with a small mist technology fire tender was rushed to the spot which doused the flames within an hour.
In the second incident, fire took place at an eatable (mixture) production centre located at Gola Road in Danapur.
Two large and two small fire tenders were rushed to the spot from Danapur fire station which doused the flames soon. Raw food items and a boiler machine was torched in fire.
